Nixon – Sleekness that’s timeless

To keep Minion fresh and up to date with the latest happenings, we’ve came out with this “Featuring the M” in which, I would be discussing the latest ‘IN’ things happening in Singapore, and round the world.

I’ve seen gaudily ugly watches being worn by smartly dressed Orchard goers and that is too strong a fashion statement for me. Trust me, you’ve got the attention you want, but in a bad manner.

It just doesn’t match your outlook.

Simple yet sleek designs have always been the dream of youngsters. There’s always a reason why we proclaim to our friends on how we would like our future home to be filled with furniture from Ikea.

Let me now, have the honour of introducing to you, the band Nixon and its art of time telling.

Founded in 1997, in Encinitas, CA, Nixon was the premium accessories company that introduced time into the skateboard community… meaning they were one of the first companies that not only sponsored skaters like Colin MacKay, Kareem Cambell and Danny Way, but also worked close with them on the designs for their time-tellers. Nixon began with a small line of custom-built, team-designed watches with focused-distribution in specialty surf, skate, snow and fashion stores.

For youngsters in Singapore who are 90% of the time, donned in street wear, an accompaniment of Nixon’s innovative designed watches would be a plus point to one’s look.

What’s more? They’ve got a large array of fashion accessories to choose from. Ranging from T-shirts to wallets, and even belts.
